Cyberpark serves as the nodal IT park for the Malabar region of northern Kerala, and operates satellite campuses in Kannur and Kasaragod.

Cyberpark was conceived as part of the Kerala government's strategy to decentralise the state's information technology industry beyond the southern and central regions and to promote IT-led employment in the northern districts. The initiative is intended to leverage the educational infrastructure of the Malabar region, including institutions such as the National Institute of Technology Calicut and the Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode.
The park hosts companies engaged in software development, IT-enabled services, business process outsourcing, and related sectors. Cyberpark functions as an autonomous body under the Department of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of Kerala, and provides built-up office space, plug-and-play facilities, and infrastructure support to tenant firms. As with other Kerala IT parks, units operating from Cyberpark can avail benefits available under central and state schemes for the IT sector.
Cyberpark is significant as the principal organised IT infrastructure project in northern Kerala. By concentrating IT and ITES employment in Kozhikode and the surrounding districts, it contributes to balanced regional development and aims to reduce migration of skilled professionals from the Malabar region to other Indian metropolises.
