Background
Tejasswi Prakash was born and raised in Mumbai in a Marathi-speaking family. She pursued a degree in engineering before shifting her focus to acting. Her decision to enter the entertainment industry came during her college years, after which she began auditioning for television roles.
Career
Early television work
Tejasswi made her acting debut in 2012 with the Sony TV series Lifeline. She subsequently appeared in shows such as 2025 Jaane Kya Hoga Aage and Sanskaar – Dharohar Apnon Ki, gradually building a profile in the Hindi daily-soap circuit.
Breakthrough
Her breakthrough came with the Colors TV serial Swaragini – Jodein Rishton Ke Sur (2015–2017), in which she played Ragini Maheshwari opposite a large ensemble cast. The show ran for over five hundred episodes and established her as a recognisable face on prime-time Hindi television.

Shortly after winning Bigg Boss 15, Tejasswi was cast as the lead Pratha in Ekta Kapoor's supernatural drama Naagin 6, which premiered on Colors TV in February 2022. The role added significantly to her popularity in the supernatural-fiction genre on Indian television.
