The university is organised into multiple constituent institutes and faculties. Its academic offerings include:
- Engineering and technology, including computer engineering, information technology, electronics, civil, mechanical, and electrical disciplines.
- Computer applications and computer science programmes at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
- Management studies, including the Master of Business Administration.
- Commerce, science, design, and law.
- Doctoral research across selected faculties.
Campus
The campus is situated on the western fringe of Ahmedabad along the Sarkhej–Gandhinagar (S.G.) Highway corridor, an area that hosts several private higher-education institutions in Gujarat. Facilities include academic blocks for the constituent colleges, laboratories, libraries, hostels, and sports infrastructure.
Significance
As one of the private universities recognised by the Government of Gujarat, Silver Oak University forms part of the expansion of private higher education in the state during the 2010s and early 2020s. It contributes to the concentration of technical and management education in the Ahmedabad–Gandhinagar region, complementing established public institutions such as Gujarat Technological University and the Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar.
