Background
The university traces its origin to educational institutions promoted by the Sankalchand Patel Sahakari Shikshan Mandal, a trust active in north Gujarat that earlier ran the Sankalchand Patel College of Engineering and other professional institutes affiliated to Gujarat Technological University and other state universities.
