The serial, which dramatised the life of the twelfth-century Rajput ruler of Ajmer and Delhi, brought him early recognition and several youth and child-artist nominations on Indian television award circuits.
Jodha Akbar
In 2013, Tokas took on the role of the Mughal emperor Akbar in Jodha Akbar, an Ekta Kapoor–produced Balaji Telefilms serial that aired on Zee TV. Co-starring Paridhi Sharma as Jodha Bai, the show ran until 2015 and became one of the channel's flagship historical dramas. The role established him as a leading face for period roles in Hindi television.
Later projects
Subsequent appearances include Maharaja Ranjit Singh: Saheb-e-Aalam on Life OK, in which he played the Sikh ruler of the Punjab, and a guest role as the emperor Krishnadevaraya in Tenali Rama on SAB TV.
