Akkineni Naga Chaitanya (born 23 November 1986) is an Indian actor and entrepreneur who works predominantly in Telugu cinema. A member of the prominent Akkineni–Daggubati family, he is the son of actor Nagarjuna. Over the course of his career he has received a Filmfare Award South, a Nandi Award, and a SIIMA Award.

Background

Naga Chaitanya was born into the Akkineni–Daggubati family, one of the leading lineages of Telugu cinema. His father, Nagarjuna, is an established actor in the industry.

Career

Debut and breakthrough

Chaitanya made his acting debut in 2009 with Josh, a performance that earned him the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut – South. He achieved a career breakthrough the following year with the romantic drama Ye Maaya Chesave (2010), which brought him his first Filmfare Award for Best Actor – Telugu nomination.

Thandel ranks as his highest-grossing release and won him the Telangana Gaddar Film Award for Best Actor.

Business ventures

Outside film, Chaitanya owns the cloud kitchen chains Shoyu and Scuzi, and serves as a celebrity endorser for several brands and products.

Personal life

Chaitanya was married to actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu from 2017 to 2021. Since 2024, he has been married to actress Sobhita Dhulipala.

As a third-generation member of the Akkineni–Daggubati family, Naga Chaitanya represents the continuation of one of Telugu cinema's most established acting lineages.
