Manipal University Jaipur (MUJ) is a state private university located in Jaipur, the capital city of Rajasthan, India. It is a constituent of the Manipal Education and Medical Group (MEMG), the network associated with the Manipal Academy of Higher Education in Karnataka. Established under a state legislative Act, the university offers undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes across engineering, management, design, sciences, humanities, law, and allied disciplines.

Background

The university was set up by the Government of Rajasthan through a dedicated Act to enable private participation in higher education in the state. It is part of the wider Manipal group, which traces its origins to the educational institutions founded by Tonse Madhava Ananth Pai in Manipal, Karnataka. MUJ extends the academic model of the parent institution to northern India, with a residential campus on the outskirts of Jaipur along the Jaipur–Ajmer corridor.
