Overview
Manipal University Jaipur (MUJ) is a state private university located in Jaipur, the capital city of Rajasthan, India. It is a constituent of the Manipal Education and Medical Group (MEMG), the network associated with the Manipal Academy of Higher Education in Karnataka. Established under a state legislative Act, the university offers undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes across engineering, management, design, sciences, humanities, law, and allied disciplines.

Background
The university was set up by the Government of Rajasthan through a dedicated Act to enable private participation in higher education in the state. It is part of the wider Manipal group, which traces its origins to the educational institutions founded by Tonse Madhava Ananth Pai in Manipal, Karnataka. MUJ extends the academic model of the parent institution to northern India, with a residential campus on the outskirts of Jaipur along the Jaipur–Ajmer corridor.

The university is organised into faculties and schools that include:
- Faculty of Engineering, covering disciplines such as computer science, electronics and communication, mechanical, civil, electrical, biotechnology and chemical engineering.

The campus is a residential facility on the Jaipur–Ajmer Expressway, with separate hostel blocks for men and women, academic buildings, laboratories, libraries, sports grounds and student amenities. The campus also hosts research centres and incubation facilities for student start-ups.

Manipal University Jaipur is among the larger private universities in Rajasthan and contributes to the regional higher-education ecosystem by drawing students from across India and abroad.
