Over time, the society expanded into a network of schools and colleges in and around Pune. Garware College of Commerce was established as part of this network to focus specifically on commerce, accountancy and business studies, complementing the society's existing offerings in arts and sciences.
The college is named after the industrialist family associated with the Garware group, which has historically supported educational and philanthropic initiatives in Maharashtra.
