Drishyam is a 2013 Indian Malayalam-language thriller film written and directed by Jeethu Joseph. The film stars Mohanlal, Meena, Ansiba Hassan, Esther Anil and Asha Sarath in lead roles. Produced by Antony Perumbavoor under the banner Aashirvad Cinemas, the film tells the story of a family man who goes to extraordinary lengths to protect his family from the law after an accidental killing.

Georgekutty, a fourth-standard dropout and cable television operator, lives with his wife Rani and their two daughters Anju and Anu in the fictional village of Rajakkad in Idukki district, Kerala. A film enthusiast, Georgekutty spends most of his nights at his cable office watching movies. When the family becomes accidentally involved in the death of a young man with influential connections, Georgekutty draws upon his vast knowledge of cinema to construct an alibi and shield his family from a relentless police investigation led by the Inspector General Geetha Prabhakar, who happens to be the dead youth's mother.
Jeethu Joseph developed the script around the idea of an ordinary man's intelligence being pitted against an organised investigation. Principal photography was carried out largely in the high ranges of Idukki, with locations chosen to reflect the rural setting central to the narrative. The film was shot over a relatively short schedule, with Mohanlal joining the project after Joseph narrated the script to him.
The soundtrack and background score were composed by Anil Johnson. The film's restrained use of music, particularly during its tense second half, was noted as a significant element of its storytelling.
Drishyam was released theatrically on 19 December 2013. It opened to strong word of mouth and became one of the highest-grossing Malayalam films at the time of its release, with extended theatrical runs in Kerala.
