Anoop Menon is an Indian film actor, screenwriter and lyricist who works predominantly in Malayalam cinema. He is known for combining his acting career with extensive writing credits, having scripted several commercially and critically successful Malayalam films during the 2010s.

Anoop Menon hails from Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala. Before his transition to full-time work in films, he trained as a lawyer. He entered Malayalam cinema as an actor and gradually expanded his role in the industry to include screenwriting and lyrics.
Menon has appeared in a wide range of Malayalam films, often in lead and pivotal supporting roles. His on-screen persona is typically associated with urbane, articulate characters, and he has worked with several leading directors of contemporary Malayalam cinema.
Menon is credited as the writer of films including Cocktail (2010) and Beautiful (2011), both directed by V. K. Prakash, and Trivandrum Lodge (2012), directed by V. K. Prakash, in which Menon also acted alongside Jayasurya. These films were noted for their dialogue-driven, character-led narratives set in contemporary Kerala.
In addition to writing scripts, Menon has penned song lyrics for some of the films he has been associated with, contributing to their music as well as their narrative.
