Overview
Mohammad Zubayr Hamza, born on 19 June 1995, is a South African cricketer who plays at first-class and international level. He has represented South Africa in Test cricket and has held a leadership role in the South African domestic circuit.
Hamza made his Test debut for the South Africa cricket team in January 2019. With this appearance, he became South Africa's 100th Test player since the country's readmission to international cricket.
In domestic cricket, Hamza was named the captain of the Cape Cobras ahead of the 2020–21 season, taking on the responsibility of leading the franchise side.
