Zoya Akhtar was born into a prominent film family in Mumbai. Her father Javed Akhtar is a celebrated Urdu poet and screenwriter known for co-writing classics such as Sholay and Zanjeer with Salim Khan, while her mother Honey Irani is a screenwriter and former child actress. Gully Boy (2019)
