Background

Yokohama Off-Highway Tires traces its operational lineage to the off-highway tyre business previously known as Alliance Tire Group (ATG). ATG built its presence around three established off-highway brands — Alliance, Galaxy and Primex — covering a wide spectrum of bias and radial tyres for farm tractors, harvesters, loaders, backhoes, skid steers, telehandlers and similar machinery.

Yokohama Rubber acquired Alliance Tire Group, after which the off-highway business was integrated into the Yokohama group's portfolio and subsequently rebranded as Yokohama Off-Highway Tires. The rebranding aligned the off-highway operations with the parent company's global identity while retaining the Alliance, Galaxy and Primex product brands, which continue to be marketed to original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and the replacement market.
