Overview
Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar (XIMB) is a business school located in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India. Established in 1987, the institute is governed jointly by the Government of India, the Government of Odisha, and the Jesuits.
XIMB was founded under what the parties described as a "social contract" between the Government of Odisha and the Jesuits in Odisha. Fr. Romuald D'Souza SJ served as the founder-director of the institute.
The institute has been part of the Super League of B-Schools (Top-10) in India, a tier rated by the All India Management Association (AIMA). XIMB has also featured in the Dare2Compete India's Top 10 Competitive B-Schools listing and in the Education World B-schools ranking for the state of Odisha.
Alongside its management education programmes, XIMB regularly carries out research and development activities, often in collaboration with government departments in the state of Odisha.
