Overview
The Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar (XIMB) is an Indian business school located in Bhubaneswar, the capital of the eastern state of Odisha. Established in 1987, it was founded as a joint venture between the Government of Odisha and the Odisha Jesuit Society, and has since become one of the better-known management institutes in eastern India. In 2017, XIMB became a constituent school of the Xavier University, Bhubaneswar (XUB), one of the first universities in India to be established by the Jesuits.

Background
XIMB was set up as part of an effort to provide professional management education in the eastern part of India, drawing on the broader Jesuit tradition of higher education exemplified by institutions such as St. Xavier's College, Kolkata, and the Xavier Labour Relations Institute (XLRI) in Jamshedpur.
