Overview

Wafadar Momand (born 5 October 1999) is an Afghan cricketer. He is recognised for being part of a notable moment in Afghanistan's cricketing history, having featured in the country's first ever Test match.

Momand was one of the eleven cricketers selected to represent Afghanistan in their inaugural Test, played against India in June 2018. The match marked Afghanistan's entry into the longest format of international cricket, following the country's elevation to Test status by the International Cricket Council.

His participation in this fixture places him among the pioneering group of players associated with the early stage of Afghanistan's Test journey.
