Viacom18 Studios is the motion pictures division of Viacom18 Media Private Limited, an Indian mass media company headquartered in Mumbai, Maharashtra. The studio is engaged in the production, co-production, acquisition and distribution of feature films across Hindi and regional Indian languages, and has played a part in expanding the Indian film industry's reach into international markets.

Background

Viacom18 was established as a joint venture between the Network18 Group and the American media conglomerate Viacom Inc. (later ViacomCBS and Paramount Global). The film business was launched as the production and distribution arm of the venture, operating under the Viacom18 Motion Pictures banner before being repositioned as Viacom18 Studios. Following the consolidation of media assets in India under Reliance Industries' broader entertainment portfolio, the studio's parent company has undergone changes in ownership structure.
