Overview
Veer Chandra Singh Garhwali Government Institute of Medical Science and Research (VCSGGMSRI), also known as Government Medical College, Srinagar, is a government medical college situated near Srinagar in the Pauri Garhwal district of Uttarakhand, India. The institute is located within the Himalayan mountain ranges of the Garhwal region.
The college was established in 2008 to provide medical education and healthcare services in the hill region of Uttarakhand. It serves as a tertiary care and teaching facility for the surrounding population, and is equipped with modern medical equipment and technology that has supported the delivery of healthcare to local communities.
VCSGGMSRI offers the M.B.B.S. programme, with admissions made through the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET). From 2021, the institute has admitted 150 M.B.B.S. students annually.
