Overview
Vasundhara Raje Scindia (born 8 March 1953) is an Indian politician who has served as the Chief Minister of Rajasthan, holding the office from 2003 to 2008 and again from 2013 to 2018. She is the only woman to have held the post of Chief Minister of Rajasthan.
Prior to her tenure as Chief Minister, Raje served as a minister in the Union Cabinet led by Atal Bihari Vajpayee. During this period, she held charge as Minister of State for External Affairs and as Minister of State for Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions.
Raje is a member of the Scindia dynasty and is associated with the Bamraulia family of Dholpur, of which she is the matriarch.
