The University of Delhi, commonly known as Delhi University (DU; ISO: Dillī Viśvavidyālaya), is a collegiate research central university located in Delhi, India. Established in 1922 by an Act of the Central Legislative Assembly, it is one of the oldest modern universities in India and functions as a federal institution comprising affiliated colleges, faculties and departments.
