1956 Melbourne Olympics
At Melbourne in 1956, India defended its Olympic title with a side led by Balbir Singh Sr. Udham Singh was a key forward in the campaign, which culminated in a final victory over arch-rivals Pakistan. This was India's sixth consecutive Olympic gold in hockey.
1960 Rome Olympics
At the 1960 Rome Olympics, India's run of unbeaten finals came to an end when Pakistan defeated them 1–0 in the gold medal match. Udham Singh was part of the Indian squad that took home the silver medal.
1964 Tokyo Olympics
