Uday Raj Chopra (born 5 January 1973) is an Indian actor and producer associated primarily with Hindi-language cinema. The son of filmmaker Yash Chopra, he is part of the Chopra family that founded and operates Yash Raj Films, one of the leading production houses in Indian cinema.

Uday Chopra was born into a prominent Indian film family. His father, Yash Chopra, was a celebrated director and producer who founded Yash Raj Films. The studio has been central to several decades of mainstream Hindi filmmaking, and Uday's career has been closely linked with its productions.

Career

Uday Chopra made his acting debut in Mohabbatein (2000), a Yash Raj Films production directed by Aditya Chopra. He went on to appear in Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai (2002) before being cast in the action franchise that would become his most recognisable screen work.

He played the recurring character of Ali in the Dhoom series, appearing alongside Abhishek Bachchan in Dhoom (2004), Dhoom 2 (2006) and Dhoom 3 (2013). The franchise became one of the commercially significant action properties produced by Yash Raj Films during the 2000s and 2010s.

In addition to acting, Uday Chopra has worked as a producer.
