Overview

Tulsi Chakraborty (also spelt Tulsi Chakrabarti; 3 March 1899 – 11 December 1961) was an Indian actor and comedian associated with Bengali cinema. He was active primarily during the 1940s and 1950s, a period considered formative for the Bengali film industry.

Chakraborty appeared in a wide range of supporting and comic roles, and is often remembered for his distinctive screen presence. Among his works, his lead performance in Parash Pathar, directed by Satyajit Ray, is regarded as one of his most notable contributions to Bengali cinema.
