Background
The group traces its origin to Trinity Laboratories, a small pharmaceutical venture established by Uttambhai Mehta in Ahmedabad. The business was later renamed Torrent Pharmaceuticals and grew into one of India's leading drug manufacturers, with a particular focus on cardiovascular, central nervous system, and gastrointestinal therapies.
