In September 2019, he was named in Scotland's squads for the 2019–20 Ireland Tri-Nation Series and the 2019 ICC T20 World Cup Qualifier in the United Arab Emirates, and made his T20I debut against the Netherlands on 19 September 2019. On 24 October 2019, the International Cricket Council announced that his bowling action had been found to be illegal, and he was suspended from bowling in international matches pending an assessment confirming a legal action.
