Palappurathu Keshavan Surendranatha Thilakan (15 July 1935 – 24 September 2012), known mononymously as Thilakan, was an Indian film and stage actor who worked predominantly in Malayalam cinema. Over a career spanning more than five decades, he appeared in over 200 Malayalam films and earned wide critical acclaim for his versatility and commanding screen presence. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest actors in Indian cinema, and his approach to acting influenced generations of Malayalam performers.
