Telangana University is a public university located at Dichpally in Nizamabad district, Telangana, India. It was established in 2006 through Act Number 28 of 2006 of the state government, with the aim of catering to the academic needs of students from the rural and backward communities of the Nizamabad and Adilabad districts.

The university campus extends over approximately 600 acres, with the State Government having handed over around 577 acres of land in Suddapally and Nadipally villages of Dichpally Mandal for the institution. The campus houses the administrative building, University College, University College of Computer Science and Engineering, University College of Law, University College of Commerce and Management, and University College of Science. Other facilities include a central library, a guest house, a health centre, three hostels (one for girls and two for boys), the Vice-Chancellor's residency, and a university canteen.

Telangana University is recognised by the University Grants Commission under sections 2(b) and 2(f) of the UGC Act. It is among the larger government universities in the state of Telangana, after Osmania University and Kakatiya University. The university offers 18 courses, with students pursuing studies at the main campus and at the South Campus at Bhiknoor in Nizamabad district, both situated along National Highway 44.

Furnished hostel accommodation is provided separately for girls and boys, with playgrounds within the premises. Further playgrounds are being developed opposite the classroom complex and the girls' hostel. The university has also undertaken plantation activities under the National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme, with plans for avenues of trees, nursery beds and landscape designing aimed at developing a green campus.
