Overview
Supriya Sadanand Sule (née Pawar; born 30 June 1969) is an Indian politician associated with the Nationalist Congress Party (Sharadchandra Pawar). She is a Member of Parliament in the Lok Sabha, representing the Baramati constituency in Maharashtra since 2009. She has served as the leader of her party in the Lok Sabha since 2014 and as the Working National President of the Nationalist Congress Party since 2023.
Before her election to the Lok Sabha, Sule served as a Member of Parliament in the Rajya Sabha from Maharashtra from 2006 to 2009. Her parliamentary work has spanned both Houses, and in 2025 she was conferred a Sansad Ratna Award in recognition of her performance in parliamentary duties.
Beyond legislative work, Sule has been associated with social campaigns. In 2011, she launched a state-wide campaign in Maharashtra against female foeticide. In 2014, she received the Mumbai Women of the Decade Achievers Award for Excellence in Social Service, presented by the All Ladies League.
