Overview

Steven John Croft (born 11 October 1984) is an English former first-class cricketer who represented Lancashire County Cricket Club from 2005 until 2024. A right-handed batsman, he is also a versatile bowler, capable of sending down both medium-fast deliveries and off breaks.

Croft enjoyed a notable season in 2008, when he was recognised by the Lancashire members with both the Player of the Year and the One-Day Player of the Year awards. During the 2008–09 season he travelled to New Zealand, turning out for the Auckland Aces as an overseas player.

He was awarded his Lancashire cap in 2010, and the following year was part of the Lancashire side that lifted the County Championship title in 2011. Croft continued to serve the club for nearly two decades, concluding his first-class career with Lancashire in 2024.
