Overview
Sri Venkateswara Medical College is a government medical college located in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh, India. Established in 1960, it is among the older medical institutions in the state and offers training in modern medicine at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
The college conducts the MBBS programme along with a range of postgraduate courses across clinical and pre-clinical specialities. It has an annual intake of 240 undergraduate seats and 146 postgraduate seats. Admissions are made through the prescribed national entrance examinations and counselling processes applicable to medical education in India.
Sri Venkateswara Medical College is recognised by the National Medical Commission, the statutory body that regulates medical education and the medical profession in the country. The college functions alongside an attached teaching hospital, where students gain clinical exposure as part of their academic training.
