Overview

Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research (SRIHER) is a private institute located in Porur, Chennai, India. It is engaged in education and research across health sciences and allied disciplines.

The institute was founded by the Sri Ramachandra Education and Health Trust on 11 September 1985 by N. P. V. Ramasamy Udayar. It began as a medical college and was subsequently conferred deemed-to-be-university status in September 1994.

SRIHER comprises nine constituent colleges and faculties, and caters to a student community of more than 6,000. Its campus is situated in the Porur neighbourhood of Chennai in Tamil Nadu.
