Overview
Shariz Ahmad (born 21 April 2003) is a Dutch cricketer who has represented the Netherlands national cricket team. A right-arm leg spin bowler, he has been part of the Dutch international set-up since 2022.
Ahmad's role in the side is principally that of a wrist-spin bowling option, a relatively uncommon specialism in the associate cricketing landscape. Leg spin bowlers are often valued for their ability to extract turn from a variety of surfaces and to provide an attacking option through the middle overs of limited-overs matches.
Since making his debut for the Netherlands, Ahmad has featured as part of the country's pool of cricketers contributing to its international fixtures across formats organised under the auspices of the International Cricket Council.
