Overview

Sharda University is a private university located in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh. It was established in 2009 under the Uttar Pradesh State Legislature Act No. 14 of 2009. The university is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under Section 2(f) of the UGC Act, 1956, and has the right to confer degrees under Section 22(1) of the same Act.

The university is part of the Sharda Group of Institutions, which was founded by Pradeep Kumar Gupta and Yatendra Kumar Gupta. In addition to the main campus in Greater Noida, the institution has sister branches in Agra and in Uzbekistan.

The Greater Noida campus is spread over an area of 63 acres and houses the academic, administrative and residential facilities of the university.
