Overview
Sanjay Vinayak Joshi is an Indian politician affiliated with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He has been associated with the party's organisational wing, particularly within the Gujarat unit, and served as a member of the BJP national executive.
Joshi held the position of National General Secretary (Organization) of the BJP from 2001 to 2005. During this tenure, he led the party's organisational efforts in a period in which the BJP secured wins in Assembly elections across nine states, namely Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Jammu and Kashmir, Bihar, West Bengal, Orissa and Madhya Pradesh.
He subsequently resigned from the BJP national executive following public pressure.
