Overview

Sai Ketan Rao (born 10 July 1994) is an Indian actor who works primarily in Hindi television, with additional credits in Telugu cinema and web series. He is best known for playing Raghav Rao in the StarPlus drama Mehndi Hai Rachne Waali, and for subsequent leading roles on the same channel in Chashni and Imlie. In 2024, he was a finalist on the reality series Bigg Boss OTT Season 3.

Career

Television

Rao made his television debut with Agni Sakshi. He went on to play the male lead, Raghav Rao, in StarPlus's Mehndi Hai Rachne Waali, the role with which he became widely recognised. He subsequently appeared as Raunaq Babbar (Reddy) in StarPlus's Chashni, and played the double lead of Agasthya Singh Chaudhary and Surya Pratap Reddy in StarPlus's Imlie.

Bigg Boss OTT 3

Rao participated as a contestant in Bigg Boss OTT Season 3, streamed on JioCinema Premium. He entered the house on 21 June 2024 and finished among the top four finalists of the season.

Significance

Working across Hindi television, Hindi web content and Telugu projects, Rao is among a cohort of actors who have moved between StarPlus prime-time fiction and OTT platforms such as ZEE5, MX Player, Amazon Prime Video, Aha and JioCinema.
