Sachin Tendulkar married Anjali Mehta, a paediatrician, in 1995. The couple has two children, Sara Tendulkar and Arjun Tendulkar. Sachin Tendulkar was born in the Mumbai city of the state of Maharashtra, India. His father’s name is Ramesh Tendulkar, was a well-known Marathi novelist, and his mother’s name is Rajni Tendulkar, worked in an insurance company. Sachin grew up in a simple, middle-class family with three older siblings.
As a child, Sachin was very energetic and mischievous. His brother, Ajit Tendulkar, noticed his interest in cricket and took him to famous cricket coach Ramakant Achrekar and Under Achrekar’s guidance, Sachin began practicing seriously at the age of 11. He would often practice for hours after school and sometimes even play matches on the same day.
Starting Phase of His Cricket Career -
Sachin started making headlines in cricket from a very young age. In 1988, when he was just 14 years old, he scored an unbelievable 664-run partnership with his friend Vinod Kambli in a school match, which caught the attention of cricket lovers in Mumbai.
Because of his extraordinary performances in school and local matches, Sachin was selected to play for Mumbai’s Ranji Trophy team at the age of 15 and he made his debut in 1988 and became the youngest Indian to score a century on his first-class debut.
International Debut -
Sachin’s big dream came true when he made his international debut for India at the age of 16 where he played his first Test match against Pakistan in Karachi in November 1989. There he faced some of the world’s fastest bowlers like Waqar Younis and Wasim Akram at such a young age and it was not easy, but Sachin showed great courage and determination. Even though he didn’t score many runs in his first match, everyone could see his talent and potential. From there, he went on to become one of the greatest players in cricket history.
He scored most runs in international cricket by making over 34,000 runs in tests, ODIs, and T20Is combined. Sachin is the only cricketer in history who has made 100 international centuries in over 664 international matches played by him.
