Overview
SR University is an Indian private university located at Warangal in the state of Telangana. It was established in 2020 under the purview of the Sri Rajeshwara Educational Society (SREC), which oversees its administration and academic affairs.
The university was constituted as a state private university under the Telangana Private Universities Act. It has been granted recognition under Section 2(f) of the University Grants Commission (UGC) Act, which formally recognises it as a university for the purposes of higher education in India.
As an institution of higher learning in northern Telangana, SR University functions within the regulatory framework set out by the state government and the UGC for private universities in the country.
