SP Singh Baghel

Overview

Satya Pal Singh Baghel (born 21 June 1960) is an Indian politician and a Member of the Lok Sabha, the lower house of the Parliament of India. He is associated with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and represents the Agra constituency in Uttar Pradesh.

Baghel was elected to the 17th Lok Sabha from Agra and was subsequently re-elected from the same constituency to the 18th Lok Sabha. Agra is a reserved parliamentary constituency in western Uttar Pradesh.

Before joining the BJP, Baghel had a long political career with other parties. He was previously a member of the Samajwadi Party, on whose ticket he was elected to the Lok Sabha on three occasions. He has also been associated with the Bahujan Samaj Party, during which time he served a term in the Rajya Sabha, the upper house of Parliament.
