Overview
Ronit Bose Roy is an Indian actor, producer and director who works primarily in Hindi cinema and Hindi-language television. He made his film debut with Jaan Tere Naam (1992) and rose to wide popular recognition through his portrayal of the patriarch Mihir Virani in the Star Plus soap opera Kasautii Zindagii Kay's contemporary Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, before returning to films in character roles from the late 2000s onwards. Background
Roy entered Hindi cinema in the early 1990s as a romantic lead. After his debut feature failed to translate into a sustained leading-man career, he moved to television in 2000, where his work in family dramas re-established him as a prominent name.
