Rekha Gupta

Rekha Gupta, who was born on July 19 in the year 1974, is the Chief Minister of the Delhi government in the year 2025 and she took her oath on February 20. She's also the fourth woman to ever be in charge of Delhi and she is a member of ‘Bharatiya Janata Party’, one of the biggest national parties in the country. She had previously served as a General Secretary and President of the Delhi University Students Union and is a member of the National Executive and General Secretary of the Delhi state unit of BJP. 

Early Life and Educational Background -

She grew up in Julana in Haryana state of India. She was born into a Hindu family and has been involved with certain social and political groups since she was young. These groups have influenced her political views. His father’s name is Jai Bhagwan Jindal and mother’s name is Urmila Jindal. She went to a college called ‘Daulat Ram College’ under Delhi university and pursued a degree in Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) from there and then she got a Bachelor of Law (LLB) degree from Chaudhary Charan Singh University.

Coming into the Politics -

She started getting involved in politics when she was in college. She was even the president of the student union at Delhi University, which is like being the head of the student government. After college, she kept working in politics. She was a city council member for a long time, and she even became the mayor of a part of Delhi which means she has a lot of experience with how cities work.

She's also been a member of the BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party) for a long time. She has held important positions in the party, especially in the women's section of the party. Before she became Chief Minister, she won an election to be a representative for her area, called Shalimar Bagh.

Becoming a Chief Minister of Delhi - 

In the year 2025, she became the Chief Minister of Delhi and as the CM, Rekha Gupta made a lot of important decisions for Delhi. She's in charge of things like schools, hospitals, roads, and making sure the city is safe. She also oversees different government departments, like the ones that handle money, education, and health.

Recently, she started a program to teach students about the famous Indian leader named Dr. B.R. Ambedkar along with that she's also been involved in events that help people with disabilities. 

Rekha Gupta Ministry -

The Rekha Gupta Ministry represents the formation of the 13th cabinet of Delhi under the leadership of Rekha Gupta and the cabinet took oath on 20 February at Ramlila Maidan. 

Her engagement in social service has been influenced by her family's emphasis on public welfare. Over the years, she has taken on multiple responsibilities in both political and community activities.
