Career

Puri rose to prominence as part of the cast of Hum Log, the Doordarshan soap opera of the 1980s, in which he played Lalit Prasad, a character better known by the nickname Lalloo. The show was among the first long-running serials produced for Indian television and gave Puri lasting recognition.
