Raghuram Bhat

Raghuram Bhat is an Indian former first-class cricketer. A left-arm orthodox spin bowler, he represented Karnataka in domestic cricket during the late 1970s and 1980s, a period in which the state side emerged as one of the strongest teams in the Ranji Trophy.

Career

Bhat was part of the Karnataka cricket team during an era when the side included several India internationals such as Gundappa Viswanath, Brijesh Patel, Syed Kirmani, Roger Binny and B. S. Chandrasekhar. As a left-arm spinner, he provided variety to the Karnataka attack in the Ranji Trophy and other domestic competitions organised by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).

His performances in domestic cricket placed him among the spin bowlers considered during the period when Indian cricket was renowned for the depth of its slow bowling resources.
