Raghava Lawrence (born Lawrence Murugaiyan on 29 October 1976) is an Indian actor, choreographer, film director, composer, playback singer, lyricist, film producer and philanthropist. He is known primarily for his work in Tamil cinema, while also being active in Telugu films.
He made his debut as a dance choreographer in 1993 and subsequently began seeking acting opportunities. He started his acting career in 1999 with a Telugu film, and adopted the name "Raghava" in 2001. Over the years, he has choreographed songs for several prominent actors and directors in Tamil and Telugu cinema.
His breakthrough as an actor came with the Telugu film Style (2006) and the Tamil horror comedy Muni (2007). As a choreographer, he is recognised for his hip-hop and westernised dance styles. His honours include four Filmfare Awards, three Nandi Awards and two Tamil Nadu State Film Awards for Best Choreography, along with a Vijay Award for social responsibility.
