The transition to a unified university structure brought the various institutes under a single academic and administrative framework.
Status and recognition
PDM University was constituted as a state private university through an Act of the Haryana State Legislature, placing it under the regulatory ambit of the Haryana Private Universities Act framework. As a private university recognised by the University Grants Commission, it has the authority to award its own degrees. Individual professional programmes offered by the university are subject to the approval of the relevant statutory regulators, including the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), the Bar Council of India (BCI), the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), and the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), depending on the discipline.
