Najmul Hossain Shanto (Bengali: নাজমুল হোসেন শান্ত; born 25 August 1998) is a Bangladeshi cricketer who plays as a left-handed batter. He has represented the Bangladesh national team since 2017, generally batting at the top of the order across formats.
In Test cricket, Shanto has accumulated 2,486 runs at an average of 34.05, while in One Day Internationals he has scored 1,914 runs at an average of 32.44. His performances at the top order have made him a regular feature of Bangladesh's batting line-up across the longer and limited-overs formats.
Shanto has also held leadership responsibilities for Bangladesh. He has served as the Test captain since 2023. He was appointed the One Day International captain in 2023 and continued in that role until 2025. He additionally led the side in Twenty20 Internationals as captain between 2023 and 2024.
