Overview
National Institute of Technology Arunachal Pradesh (also known as NIT Arunachal Pradesh or NITAP) is a public technical and research institute in Arunachal Pradesh. It is one of the National Institutes of Technology in India and is recognised as an Institute of National Importance.
The institute commenced functioning in 2010 from a temporary campus at Yupia, near Itanagar, the capital of Arunachal Pradesh. It is part of the network of 31 NITs established across the country to provide higher education in engineering, technology and allied disciplines.
NIT Arunachal Pradesh presently functions from its permanent campus at Jote in the Papum Pare district of Arunachal Pradesh. As a centrally funded technical institution, it forms part of India's framework of national-level engineering education and research.
