The National Institute of Technology, Arunachal Pradesh (NIT Arunachal Pradesh, often abbreviated as NIT AP) is a public technical university located in Arunachal Pradesh, India. It is one of the thirty-one National Institutes of Technology (NITs) established by the Government of India and is recognised as an Institute of National Importance under the National Institutes of Technology Act, 2007 (as amended). The institute is fully funded by the Ministry of Education (formerly the Ministry of Human Resource Development), Government of India.

Background
The National Institutes of Technology system was created to expand access to high-quality technical education across India, with at least one NIT in most states and union territories.
