Overview

The National Institute of Health and Family Welfare (NIHFW), located in New Delhi, is an autonomous apex technical institute functioning under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. It serves as a specialised body engaged in capacity building and applied research relevant to India's public health system.

The Institute's work is oriented around the broad domains of public health, health administration and health management. Through its programmes, NIHFW seeks to support the planning, implementation and evaluation of health and family welfare initiatives in the country.
