Overview
The National Institute of Food Technology Entrepreneurship and Management, Kundli (NIFTEM-K), also known as the Indian Institute of Food Processing Technology, Kundli (IIFPT-K), is a higher education institute operating under the Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI), Government of India. It is located in the Kundli industrial area of Sonipat district, Haryana.
The institute is one of the National Food Technology Institutes established to promote food science education and technology development in India. Its broad mandate covers academics, research and entrepreneurship in the field of food processing and allied disciplines.
NIFTEM-K was granted the status of an Institute of National Importance in 2021, placing it among a select group of centrally supported institutions dedicated to specialised education and research in food technology.
