Nandura is a town and municipal council in the Buldhana district of the state of Maharashtra, India. Located in the Vidarbha region, it serves as the headquarters of Nandura taluka and lies along the Mumbai–Nagpur corridor, which has historically given the town strategic importance as a transit and trading point.

Geography
Nandura is situated in the eastern part of Buldhana district, in the Purna river basin which forms part of the larger Tapi river system. The terrain around the town is largely a fertile plain typical of the Payanghat (Purna valley) zone, supporting an agrarian economy. The town lies between the district headquarters of Buldhana to the west and the city of Akola to the east.

Local civic affairs are managed by the Nandura Municipal Council, which is responsible for water supply, sanitation, roads, street lighting, and other municipal services. The economy of Nandura is rooted in agriculture and agro-based trade. Crops grown in the surrounding taluka include cotton, soybean, tur (pigeon pea), wheat, jowar and oilseeds. The town serves as a market and aggregation centre for produce from nearby villages, with associated activities in ginning, oil extraction, retail trade, and transport. Its position on a national highway and the trunk railway line has supported small-scale industries and warehousing.
Culture and landmarks
Nandura is locally known for a large statue of Hanuman erected near the town along the highway, which has become a recognisable landmark for road travellers passing through the Vidarbha stretch of the highway. Religious fairs and weekly markets are part of the town's social calendar, drawing visitors from surrounding villages of the taluka.
Education
The town hosts a range of Marathi-medium and semi-English schools affiliated to the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, along with junior colleges and degree colleges affiliated to Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University. For specialised higher and professional education, residents typically travel to Khamgaon, Akola, Amravati or Nagpur.
